On Sunday, May 18, Brooklyn played host to a one-of-a-kind singles event that redefined what inclusive matchmaking can look like — and it was a night to remember! 🎉 Organized by Imo Anochi, the event welcomed frum Jewish singles ages 25–35 living with physical disabilities or medical conditions, along with those open to meaningful connections beyond the surface. The result? A room full of warmth, courage, and electric chemistry! ⚡💑

From live music by the talented Shlomo Levinger and a lively DJ set by CP, to delicious hot food, an open bar, and expertly curated speed dating sessions, the night was both high-energy and heart-centered. A dream team of shadchanim from YUConnects, BlindFate, Kesher Networks, and Adopt-a-Shadchan were on hand to help facilitate introductions — and word on the street is that quite a few sparks were flying! 🔥✨ With over a dozen promising matches already in the works, this event didn’t just bring people together — it brought hope to the center of the shidduch scene. 💞

Get ready for a night of community, commitment, and a little post-Shabbos excitement! 🎉 The Bi-Annual Board Elections at Agudath Israel Bais Binyomin are happening on Motzei Shabbos, June 21st, from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM sharp in the main shul. If you're a Full-Time Member, this is your chance to make your voice heard and help shape the future leadership of the shul. ⏳ Voting can be done either in person during the designated time or by absentee ballot (details coming soon). Don’t be late — the polls will close exactly at 11:30!

The Nominating Committee is now accepting recommendations for new Board members. A full list of available positions and open slots will be shared shortly. An official email address is being set up for all nomination-related communication — so please hold off on using any personal contact info. 🙅‍♂️ Whether you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and run, or just eager to support those who do, this is a great opportunity to get involved and show some love for your shul community. 💙

⏳💸 Tick Tock, Tax Talk: Lien Sale Deadline Gets a Lifeline! 🏡❤️

Good news for stressed-out homeowners across NYC! The dreaded tax lien sale deadline — originally set for May 20 — just got a two-week reprieve. 📅💥 You now have until June 2 to get your finances in order before the city moves forward with selling off property debt. That means two extra weeks to breathe, apply for payment plans, and save your home from landing in the foreclosure danger zone. 🧾💧🏠

The city’s Department of Finance, along with dedicated councilmembers and community heroes, has been hustling to get the word out. From info sessions to new "easy exit" repayment programs, help is finally showing up for folks who’ve faced hard times — whether from illness, rising living costs, or confusing red tape. 🧠📉 One Bushwick homeowner, caught in a tangle of water bills and paperwork, got a second chance thanks to these efforts — and he’s not alone. 📬💪 Thanks to aggressive outreach, nearly 500 people in District 37 have already been removed from the lien list!
